    More Than a Celebration

Becoming a Bat Mitzvah is an important stage in a girl’s life—a time to discover what it means to grow into a Jewish young woman.

At the Chabad Neshama Bat Mitzvah Club, girls explore meaningful topics such as friendship, confidence, responsibility, Jewish identity, and making thoughtful choices. Everything takes place in a warm and welcoming environment where the girls can speak openly, ask questions, build friendships, and connect with one another.

Each gathering combines meaningful conversations, Jewish wisdom, creative projects, hands-on activities, and plenty of fun with friends. The girls discover the beauty of mitzvot, strengthen their connection to their Jewish heritage, and learn how their unique talents can bring light to the people around them.

Our goal is for every girl to enter her Bat Mitzvah celebration not only prepared for her special day, but feeling proud, connected, confident, and inspired from within.

    Our Sunday Curriculum Will Include
    Hebrew Reading and Eishet Chayil

The girls will strengthen their Hebrew-reading skills directly from the original text, with the goal of being able to read Eishet Chayil confidently in honor of their Bat Mitzvah.

    Eishet Chayil: Women of Valor

During each lesson, we will learn and discuss one verse of Eishet ChayilA Woman of Valor. The girls will explore its meaning and discover how its timeless message connects to their lives today.

Each lesson will be brought to life through a related hands-on activity, including topics such as challah, keeping kosher, Shabbat candle lighting, and the beauty of Shabbat.

The program will culminate in a beautiful end-of-year Eishet Chayil production, in which each girl will represent and share the story of a different Jewish woman from history.

    JewQ

JewQ is another exciting feature of the Bat Mitzvah Club. Through JewQ, the girls will gain a broad foundation of Jewish knowledge, including Jewish history, holidays, customs, traditions, and a deeper love and connection to Israel.

    Special Events and Experiences

Throughout the year, the girls will enjoy special events and memorable experiences, including monthly culinary activities, karate, Jewish birthday celebrations, trips, Friday-night dinners, barbecues, and more.

Preparing for Shabbat and the Jewish Holidays

The girls will learn practical and meaningful ways to prepare for Shabbat and the Jewish holidays, helping them bring Jewish traditions, excitement, and inspiration into their own homes.

    More Than a Celebration

Becoming a Bar Mitzvah is about much more than the party or the celebration. It is a milestone in a boy’s life, transforming him from a child into a Jewish adult—not simply a teenager. It is a time for him to discover what it means to grow into a responsible and confident Jewish young man.

At the Chabad Neshama Bar Mitzvah Club, boys learn how to put on tefillin and explore the meaning and importance of this special mitzvah. They also learn about the synagogue and its many meaningful details, as well as the Torah—what it is, when it is read, how it is read, and why it is central to Jewish life.

Throughout the program, we develop confidence, responsibility, Jewish identity, and the ability to make thoughtful choices. Everything takes place in a warm and welcoming environment where the boys can speak openly, ask questions, build friendships, and connect with one another.

Each gathering combines meaningful conversations, Jewish wisdom, creative projects, hands-on activities, and plenty of fun with friends. The boys discover the beauty of mitzvot, strengthen their connection to their Jewish heritage, and learn how their unique talents can bring light to the people around them.

Our goal is for every boy to enter his Bar Mitzvah celebration not only prepared for his special day, but feeling proud, connected, confident, and inspired from within.

    Our Sunday Curriculum Will Include
    Hebrew Reading

The boys will strengthen their ability to read Hebrew directly from the original text, helping them become more comfortable and confident with Jewish prayer and study.

    Becoming a Jewish Adult

Each lesson will explore a different topic connected to becoming a Bar Mitzvah and the new responsibilities a boy accepts as a Jewish adult.

Tefillin, the Synagogue, and the Torah

The boys will learn how to put on tefillin and understand its meaning. They will also explore the synagogue, its important features, and the role of the Torah—what it is, when and how it is read, and why it is so important to Jewish life.

Through JewQ, the boys will gain a broad foundation of Jewish knowledge, including Jewish history, holidays, customs, traditions, and a deeper love and connection to Israel.
